Before reading the book, allow the student to use the ‘Ocean Rumble Bracket Sheet’ to make predictions about who will win. While reading, the student can use the ‘Animal Fact Sheet’ to record what they learn. Then, the student can select 2-3 animals to write about in their journal. Encourage the student to add adjectives to their writing. Review the bracket and discuss any surprise winners.
