In this session plan, the student will learn about cultural applications of the moon and explore the history of lunar missions. The session plan describes how to use a flashlight and two round objects to predict where the shadow will appear as the ‘sun’ shines on the ‘moon’ as it moves around the ‘earth.’ Tutors can also help the student differentiate between words associated with day and those that relate to night.
