This session plan helps the student understand and discuss what it means to make a promise through the characters in the story. There is a vocabulary list and the opportunity to create a list of ways to take care of oneself. (Note: “I Promise” and “The LeBron James Biography” is a paired reading curriculum packet in tutor libraries.)
